With the rise of cloud platforms and services enabled by connected technologies, consumers increasingly demanded the ability to place orders for delivery or pickup on their mobile devices.

 

Solution

Albertsons launched an initiative to develop an all-in-one mobile application solution to order and schedule delivery or pick-up times (powered by Instacart), layering in special offers to promote community engagement and analytics for product recommendations tailored to consumer purchase habits.

 

Result

In 2019, Albertsons Online Delivery and Pickup services grew by 40% and is currently one of the fastest growing sales channels for The Albertsons Companies and the company considers the platform to be “one” of its “four engines of growth”.
